A Culinary Course Designed for Kids & Teens
A 12-week course designed to give youth a hands-on culinary education during 3 months of weekly classes after school. This featured culinary course for youth is uniquely designed for eager students to further develop a wide range of culinary skills giving students access to modern facilities and equipment that are used professionally at Renée's Fine Dessert Restaurant & Coffee Bar.
*All culinary classes will begin with prayer and are rooted in the foundation of Jesus Christ.
January 10, 2018 - March 28, 2018; 12-week session, Wednesdays 4:30-6:00 p.m.
Age Group: 8-13 years old
WHAT STUDENTS WILL LEARN
Students will work alongside Chef Renée during the 12-week course in a fully-equipped Culinary Art Studio cooking with fine ingredients, developing proper technique, recipe development, in addition to learning the art of plating through design - with an integrated visual art component added to this course. Each class begins with a brief discussion of the science, art, and history of fine French cuisine. *The majority of the time, culinary students will be in the Culinary Studio doing, not watching.
